Put Your Fashion Talents to Work
You don’t need to dress wild or get all the attention in the clubs to be a candidate for the Fashion & Retail Management program at the Art Institute of Washington. In fact, many of our students look just like students in other programs, except that they have an interest in some form of fashion. Whether it is the design and drawing of patterns, or utilizing some of the newest technology to design fabrics, you will learn everything you need to start your career in the fashion industry.
Because fashion does extend from the high-end runways of Paris and London to the big box retail outlets, you will learn all aspects of the industry and be able to figure out just where you fit in. Some students choose to focus on the intricate design of clothing, while others are far more interested in how fashion is marketed to both retail outlets and the public.
From design to manufacturing, product placement to retail sales, you will learn all of the basic principles necessary to work in virtually any part of the fashion industry, from retail management to even starting your very own fashion company. This is a very rewarding field for people with the appropriate education.
